Ben Martin | Partner

Ben Martin is a partner of Norton White in Sydney, Australia.  He is recognised for his depth of knowledge and experience in commercial and aviation law.  His practice includes acting and advising on aviation legal issues throughout Australia and the South-West Pacific.

Ben has been ranked by Legal Media Group’s “Best of the Best” guide to legal practitioners as one of the top 30 aviation law practitioners in the world.

Ben’s practice includes:

  • advising and acting on regulatory matters involving the domestic and international operation of aircraft

  • advising on legal requirements and documentation for commercial passenger and tourism operations

  • acting in transactions for the acquisition, finance, leasing or disposal of aircraft and other commercial transactions including the acquisition and disposal of airlines and aviation businesses

  • advising and acting on competition law issues involving the aviation industry

  • acting and advising on aviation related liability claims and litigation

He has degrees in Law and Science from the University of New South Wales (1987). He is a member of the Flight Safety Foundation, International Legal Advisory Council and a director of the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame, a past director of the Regional Aviation Association of Australia and a past President of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand. Ben has written and presented numerous papers at legal and aviation industry conferences in Australia and internationally.
