Andre MARIE bemmer | Senior Associate

Andre is a member of the Sydney team and assists Australian and international aviation related businesses, financiers and project developers on commercial transactions, particularly with an aviation or maritime focus.

His experience includes:

  • Facility agreements and other financing arrangements for aircraft, airport/seaport development projects and ships with Australian and foreign financiers and borrowers;

  • Aircraft acquisition and leasing documentation for Australian and international airlines and other aviation services providers;

  • Project documentation including BOT/concession agreements for airport and seaport developments in Australia, the Middle East, Africa and Asia;

  • General commercial contracts for Australian airlines and aviation services providers, including charters, maintenance agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts and supply agreements;

  • Tender responses for aviation and transport related services for both Government and private industry tenders, including for aerial transport, search and rescue, fire-fighting and air-ambulance;

  • Corporate governance, including shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, and trust documentation;

  • Private M&A for airlines and logistics businesses;

  • Australian aviation regulatory matters; and

  • Domestic and cross-border commercial disputes involving airlines and other transport businesses.

Prior to joining Norton White, Andre worked on OTC derivatives trading documentation matters for a global investment manager and an Anglo-American finance firm. He has also interned at an international business law firm in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Andre has studied the common law and the civil law at institutions in Australia, Germany, the United States of America and Luxembourg.
