Recent changes to the Navigation Act as to duration of CVPs



The role of foreign-flagged and unlicensed vessels operating in the Australian coastal trade has been a cause of consternation for many. Recent amendments to the Navigation Act 1912 have changed the circumstances and procedures by which the Minister can cancel voyage permits, however the amendments appear to have failed to address the need for greater transparency and review.
