Career Summary
Ben Martin is recognised for his depth of knowledge and experience in aviation regulatory, liability and commercial law. His practice includes:-
- advising and acting on regulatory matters and competition matters;
- acting in transactions for the acquisition, finance, leasing or disposal of aircraft and other commercial transactions including the acquisition and disposal of airlines and other businesses; and
- acting and advising on liability claims and litigation.
Ben has been ranked by the 2007 & 2009 ‘Guide To The World’s Leading Lawyers – Best of the Best’ as one of the top 25 aviation law practitioners in the world. He is the only Australian practitioner to be included in the Best of the Best List.
He has degrees in Law and Science from the University of New South Wales (1987) and advises on commercial aviation related legal matters throughout Australia and the South West Pacific. He is a director of the Regional Aviation Association of Australia and is the President of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
He has written and presented numerous papers at legal and aviation industry conferences in Australia and internationally.
